Kim Little, WHNP-BC

Kim Little joined the practice in 2018. She received her Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Vanderbilt University. Her undergraduate nursing degree is from Lenoir-Rhyne University, her Master’s Degree in Nursing is from Gardner-Webb University, and her PhD is from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Kim has enjoyed providing care through medical missions to women and children in the rural areas of Guatemala. Kim continues teaching future nurses on the days she is not practicing. Kim enjoys working with women of all ages to ensure their best health possible with the least intervention. Kim has three girls, and resides in Lynchburg.

Kathleen Putnam, WHNP-BC

Kathleen Forst Putnam is a board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with 25 years of experience in caring for women. She earned her Master’s degree and PhD in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia. She has published research in the field of mid-life women and military families. She retired from the United States Navy Nurse Corps in 2014 after serving in many exciting areas of the world. She is passionate about women’s health, and helping women to attain their best health possible. She and her husband have 4 grown children and lots of grandchildren. Spending time with everyone in their large family is very special. Whenever she isn’t working, she loves reading, writing, needlework and gardening, and participating in local “walking” road races.

Vickie Moore, FNP-C

Ms. Moore joined the practice in 2000. She received her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Lynchburg College, her Masters in Nursing from the University of Virginia, and her Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Old Dominion University. As a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Vickie enjoys helping women with their gynecological needs and issues. She and her husband have two children and three grandchildren.

Sarah Woods, MD

Dr. Woods joined our practice in 2015. She earned her MD from the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Woods is board certified in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Following residency, she completed a 2-year fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the University of Tennessee and is the only gynecologist in Lynchburg with that type of training. She offers a full range of gynecologic care with a practice focus in minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Dr. Woods also has a practice focus in pediatric and adolescent gynecology, soon to be recognized by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Lewis Dabney, MD

Dr. Dabney has been practicing in Lynchburg since 2001. Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, he received his undergraduate and MD degree from and completed his OB/GYN residency at the University of Virginia. His special concentrations include pelvic surgery, polycystic ovary syndrome, infertility, sexual dysfunction and pelvic pain. Dr. Dabney enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He is also the guitarist in a local band.

Matthew Tompkins, MD

Dr. Thompkins joined our practice in July of 1999. He received his undergraduate degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and his MD degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his OB/GYN residency at the University of Virginia, and is Board Certified in the practice of Obstetrics/Gynecology. Dr. Thomkins is also the only board certified practitioner in Lynchburg for female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (urogynecology.) He specializes in pelvic reconstructive surgery, incontinence, ultrasound and robotic surgery. He and his wife enjoy spending time with their three children, skiing, swimming and cheering on the Ohio State University football team.
